Duo Chelys

Duo Chelys is a viola da gamba duo with base in Brussels, created in 2014.

The aim is to discover and play all music for two viols from different styles and countries and even the music written by unknown and unrecognised composers.

Masanobu Tokura and Rebecca Lefèvre are both active as freelance musicians in Europe and Japan and have now come together to create Duo Chelys. With their different backgrounds and experiences they bring life to this new project and explore together the 'sound possibilities' of two viols.
